Hormonal acneUpdated 10 months ago

The main difference between acne and hormonal acne is that hormonal acne is caused by hormonal fluctuations in the body that increase sebum production in the skin.

Hormonal acne usually occurs in women who experience hormonal changes due to the menstrual cycle, pregnancy, menopause or after stopping the pill.

We have developed a cleansing routine tailored to the different phases of the cycle. As well as a cleanse for pregnant women.

How do I recognise hormonal acne? Hormonal acne usually occurs on the lower part of the face, such as the chin and cheeks, while normal acne is more common on the forehead, nose and chin (T-zone).

If you think you may be suffering from hormonal acne, it's also worth looking at your diet and lifestyle, as these factors also influence hormone levels. You can find out more about this in our magazine and on our social media channels.
